The Campaign

 

Pizza Express wanted to increase footfall in restaurants, to create a link between their restaurants and their online presences and to heighten social media engagement during the festive period. Ideally they wanted to achieve this via a ‘surprise and delight’ campaign – rewarding their customers with the chance to win free menu items. Further into the campaign they also wanted to promote the ongoing discounts & special offers available through their partnership with TasteCard.

How It Worked

Scannable Messenger QR codes were printed onto physical assets displayed throughout Pizza Express restaurants nationwide

Once scanned, these codes opened a Messenger conversation instructing users to type #ShakeTheTree to begin their competition entry

EchoMany automatically responds with a Messenger reply and begins to render a personalised video asset

The video asset, personalised with the fan’s name within the first few frames, is delivered natively back as a reply message. This video informs the fan whether they have won or lost the instant win competition
