The Campaign

 

Our first campaign with BBC Worldwide was to “surprise & delight” Sherlock fans by creating personalised teaser trailers utilizing UGC, in order to encourage shares on Twitter to spread word about the Sherlock special. The BBC asked fans to “Telegram” John Watson in 1885 using the hashtag #Telegram221b. The secondary goal was to raise awareness of the special cinema showings and help boost ticket sales and attendance.

How It Worked

@Sherlock221B’s social media team logs into the online EchoMany Platform Dashboard, which links into their official Twitter account via API

Tweets with the #Telegram221B hashtag are automatically pulled through to the dashboard via live-stream or advanced search.

@Sherlock221B’s social media team hand selects which Tweets they want to receive a personalised reply, and generate their EchoMany video live and in real time

Each video is dynamically personalised with the users’ name, avatar and Tweet – then EchoMany automatically sends the video from the platform dashboard as a native Twitter reply.
